Good Friday in El Salvador

Santa Semana, Holy Week, is a time for contemplation in El Salvador. Offices across the country shut down to allow workers to join their families in worship. Today, Good Friday, El Salvador will join many lands of the faithful with celebrations that mark the Way of the Cross as a cornerstone event. Today, the faithful in San Salvador, for example, begin a walk from the Hospital Zone to the Metropolitan Cathedral in the center of the city.
